Club Membership

Our club was formed over thirty years ago. A site is arranged for detecting almost every Saturday of the year. These are the only times we detect on our authorised sites.
Please note that monthly evening meetings are held near Wimborne. At these meetings we vote for the best artefact and coin found during the month, which also eventually decides who is “Detectorist of the Year”. We hold a raffle, the proceeds of which go toward the hire of the meeting place. We also have a charity fund, and regularly support The Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance and Julia’s House. Members are expected to attend meetings on a regular basis so that they can participate in these activities. Members are not allowed to belong to any other detecting club and must live within 25 mile radius of Blandford.
We hold an annual dinner, and it would be good to know we have the support of all members.
We are also looking for new members who might eventually consider serving on the committee.

Please understand that we have a limit on membership numbers, which means that if there are many applicants you may not be successful the first time of applying.
